About Crime Stoppers

If you have any information regarding a planned or committed crime, and you wish to report it to the police, please tell us what you know. All information will be kept confidential!

The  Krimolovci website  s is a project initiated by the EU Police Mission. It is part of the Krimolovci or Crime Stoppers system, which aims to provide citizens with a platform to share information with their police.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that this website is not an emergency hotline. If you require police assistance at short notice (within the next 24 hours), you should call 122 or, if you wish to stay anonymous, the Krimolovci hotline at 080 020 505. Launched on 1 March 2004 and initially supported by the EU Police Mission and the government of the United Kingdom, the Krimolovci hotline was handed over to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) on 30 March 2005.

Later that year, on 5 October 2005, the EU Police Mission, with the support of the British Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, launched the television show Nerijesen Slucaj. Inspired from television shows such as the German Aktenzeichen XY (which was the first show of this kind worldwide) or Crimewatch,in the United Kingdom, the programme prompts citizens to share information with the police via the Krimolovci hotline.

In 2007 Krimolovci calls allowed law enforcement agencies throughout the country to submit 61 cases, involving 84 persons, to prosecutors’ offices. Most of these reports were related to unauthorised carrying of firearms, abuse of office and drugs production and dealing. In addition, 67 pieces of information were found useful for future intelligence work.
